Travelling alone at Christmas is a great opportunity to try new things, experience new traditions and share that festive experience with your fellow passengers.

Christmas can be a tricky time for solo travelers but the best way to enjoy the season is embracing the experience with a group of like minded people.

You will be celebrating before your friends and family in the northern hemisphere and set the festive tone as you enjoy a warmer Christmas experience in shorts and t-shirts - swapping your scarves and hot chocolates for suntan cream and a cooling drink!

For those bold enough to don a santa suit its a sweltering affair but for most its jandels (aka. sandals), boardies (aka. shorts) and a bbq - sweet!

We have been enjoying our Christmas "on the road" for thirty years and for most its one of the most memorable parts of their trip. If you are travelling with us on Christmas Day think BBQ's, beaches and a Christmas desert Pavlova. The Flying Kiwi teams also like to put names in a hat and for everyone to get a little something for someone - an amazing bonding experience and fun for all!

So in summary...don't be afraid or daunted about travelling during Christmas. It's fun, it's different and it's an experience you'll never forget!

Have a wonderful Christmas everyone, wherever your travels take you!
