Our main reason for booking the trip was to travel with a bond with a group and not waste time since our holiday time is short. The structure of North Island tour with 3 groups in 9 days and wasted travel time meant that the tour disappointed on both counts.

The trip is too focused on expensive activities. The options for hikers and bikers are too few, especially because we travelled moot of the times. I would have enjoyed more longer hikes in Tongariro and Mt. Cook National Park. I imagined the trip more hiking trip than an "pay activity" trip. Long breaks in strip cities only allow to hang around in gift shops and coffees.

Cycling options oversold. Would not have hired bikes if I knew we were riding narrow open roads on mountain bikes. A road cycling option would be better for this type of riding. However from that I really enjoyed the trip and I would travel with Flying Kiwi again.
